My blogmate has pushed a series of misguided posts about what he perceives as misconceptions regarding the schooling process. Because he is critical of our flawless schooling system, he is obviously wrong 110% of the time. As a fake teacher, I'm obviously the purfect person to disprove his points. I'm also 110% confident that my conclusive nonsense will be so flawless that nobody will make the mistake of believing his more rational arguments.
Sure, we have "Teacher Appreciation Week." Sure, some businesses provide discounts to teachers. Sure, politicians frequently push connections to teachers as a shortcut to earning respect. None of this means that people show teachers any respect.
As we have repeatedly insisted, teaching is a higher calling. We belong to a god-like profession. It is disrespectful to view us as anything less.
Teachers don't get respect. Most people fall a little short of downright worshipping us. The remainder are even less respectful. Some dare to see us for who we are rather than who we claim to be, which is clearly ridiculous. If teachers make a claim, that is more than sufficient to turn that claim into reality.
See my idiut blogmate's previously posted inspiration for this brilliunt post.
Education has taken on contradictory meanings. Some of us reject using the term to refer to our schools. It can be stated that our schools are at war with education. This blog was initially developed for the purpose of sharing some quick (rather than conclusive) pro-education/anti-schooling thoughts. This has been expanded to include a voice from the other side of the war. Admittedly, this voice was picked for its tendency to show the absurdities of the pro-schooling/anti-educational side.
