There are some things that I have stated over the years that could come off as contradictory. I'm not going to rule out mistakes, but some of these seemingly contradictory comments come down to just poor wording on my part. On top of that, there can also be a confusion of issues.
One of these apparent contradictions relates to teachers taking education for granted. On multiple occasions, I have openly criticized teachers for maintaining anti-educational values. While some might struggle to understand this, it is entirely possible to embrace anti-educational values while taking education for granted.
Although I have not yet had anyone call me out for these statements, I wanted to explain how I can be right on both points. It's actually quite simple. Schools were built on top of a blatantly anti-educational foundation. Because teachers take education for granted, they don't realize the values they are required to embrace are anti-educational.
In many ways, teachers are pawns. The people who developed the schools embraced anti-educational hostilities. Teachers are simply doing their jobs. It's not the fault of teachers that their work is detrimental to education. What is their fault is that they take education for granted and don't recognize the consequences of their actions.
