Sanders, teachers, and young voters

Teachers are boasting about being the biggest supporters of Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders is bragging about his support from younger voters. Considering he is openly socialist, both of these are concerning. The combination of the two is even worse. Teaching is an influential and authoritarian profession. I have been known to criticize them for using their position of authority to exploit children. The biggest donors for the Sanders campaign has influence over one of his strongest blocks of voters. Am I the only one who sees the problem with this?

More than likely, this is an indication that teachers have fed children a skewed narrative. When they reach voting age, their beliefs match those of their teachers. This allows teachers to skew election results.

I am a believer in mental diversity. Instead of being told what to think, children should learn how to think. Since no two people are alike, this will lead to highly variable beliefs and opinions. These beliefs and opinions will frequently defy their influencers. This is because their beliefs and opinions will not be controlled by influencers. They are ultimately controlled by each and every individual. The idea that so many young voters match the views of their teachers is a strong indication that teachers are exploiting children.
