Stereotypical Student: Testing IV

This intentionally corny series of posts makes fun of the schools by providing an obviously fictional diary of a student who fits many stereotypes.

Entry 20

Once again, we are testing. We have multiple sections aimed at math and English skills. After we are done, we will be told what percentile we are in.

I am really interested in my results. I want to know how I rank among other students in regards to the ability to get questions right.

What better way is there to establish the quality of education than to calculate scores based off of the number of right and wrong answers on a multiple choice test? It's even divided by broad subjects.

This should be a wonderful tool to evaluate the entirety of our educations. This is especially true when you consider the fact that nothing left off of the test, even within these subjects, has any educational value. Not only that, but the numbers don't need to be nuanced because all students who end up at any given percentage must know the exact same things as everyone else at the same percentile.
