It seems like every time someone says something online that is not in line with the beliefs of the schools, the same argument comes up. That person must take education for granted.
I have written about this before, but I still seriously struggle with this argument. If you mindlessly parrot what the schools tell you about the schools, you're fine. If you bother to actually think about education, then you must take education for granted. Isn't this backwards?
The only way to convince the mainstream that you care about education is to take education for granted. You must allow the mainstream to tell you what you are supposed to think, and there is no tolerance for deviation. If you dare to share your own thoughts instead, you will be ridiculed.
With how flawed our schools are, one thing is very clear. Nobody who truly cares about education will ever meet the rigid expectations for educational beliefs. If you believe in education, you will be torn apart for taking education for granted. If you don't care enough to think about education, then you can match the socially acceptable viewpoint. How exactly did we come to the conclusion that your perceived educational interests directly contradict your actual educational interests? Can someone please explain that to me?
