Schooling and the 10th amendment

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
The 10th amendment does not say anything that could legitimately be viewed as anti-schooling, but it clearly establishes that the federal government can't force the concept on the states. Despite that fact, the federal government developed a department of education.

The department of education takes federal funds (through taxes) and only gives money to the states if they comply with government standards. Ultimately, the federal government has taken responsibility for regulating something that the constitution assigns to the states. This means that the department of education is in violation of the constitution.
