I usually make posts like these ahead of changes that I'm making to this blog. This time, I'm posting after I made some changes. These changes come down to something I explained on my personal blog. 2025 turned into the year of clearing out backlogs.
I no longer have a list of topics that I have not yet covered. I have slowed the rate at which I write new posts. This has also slowed the rate at which I actually post. This rate could get even slower in the future as I seek new projects.
This has all been explained on my personal blog. I wanted to add one more backlog that has been cleared. I have finished my list of misconceptions. You might have already noticed that these posts have ended.
I am open to adding new misconceptions. For now, I am working on a summary page that will display all misconceptions in the series. This will include the misconception, a link, and a brief explanation as to why I view it as a misconception.
When the summary page is complete, I might go back through some old posts to look for additions. For each post, I will ask myself if it could be reframed as a misconception. I have not yet decided if I will update those posts with how it could be reframed or if I will write a new post for the misconception.
Overall, there aren't any major changes for the new year. I'm mostly adapting to a reduced workload for my blogs. There are likely still some changes coming along these lines, but this is certainly not a year for reinventing my online presence.
Education has taken on contradictory meanings. Some of us reject using the term to refer to our schools. It can be stated that our schools are at war with education. This blog was initially developed for the purpose of sharing some quick (rather than conclusive) pro-education/anti-schooling thoughts. This has been expanded to include a voice from the other side of the war. Admittedly, this voice was picked for its tendency to show the absurdities of the pro-schooling/anti-educational side.
