Stereotypical Student: Afterwards IV

This intentionally corny series of posts makes fun of the schools by providing an obviously fictional diary of a student who fits many stereotypes.

Entry #64

My former wonderful teachers recently went on strike. We all know that when teachers demand more pay for themselves, they're doing it for the children. I know that because my teachers told me.

As it turns out, it's illegal for teachers to strike in my state. That means that my teachers are just embracing the time-honored tradition of civil disobedience. Asking for more money for themselves is the exact same concept as how certain groups have fought for civil rights.

These teachers who are making all kinds of demands are merely standing up to bullies. They are standing up to elected officials, who they bring up when insisting that the people have a voice in the process. Instead, they are ensuring that everything is based on the demands of their union. If only these elected officials knew better. If we care about voters having a voice, then school boards need to capitulate to union demands.
