Stereotypical Student: Being Raised V

This intentionally corny series of posts makes fun of the schools by providing an obviously fictional diary of a student who fits many stereotypes.

Entry #29

Prior to this week, none of my teachers explained their political beliefs regarding socialism. When I made the comment that socialism sounds like it would give the government too much power, I was corrected. At first I thought my teachers were yelling at me, but I now realize that my definitively incorrect assumptions justified their loud and aggressive correction.

I know that I was out of line. I never should have thought for myself. That is not my job. My job is to think whatever my teachers want me to think. If I wanted to form an opinion on socialism, I should have asked my teachers what opinion I should form. Socialism is a flawless concept, and I am grateful for my teachers providing me with my new opinion.
