College tax credits

Tax reform has been in the news lately. One of the big topics within tax reform has been college tax credits. Because of this, I feel like I should explain my views on tax credits.

Before I go any further, let me repeat part of my educational beliefs for anyone who doesn't already know. We should all be allowed to pursue a healthy education free from the confines of a restrictive schooling environment.

College tax credits provide financial incentives to allow colleges to control and restrict the educational process. Additionally, college tax credits can increase the tax burden on people who learn elsewhere. This ultimately requires independent learners to take a financial hit in order to subsidize college for those who are open to educational constraints.

Although it is considered taboo to discuss the harmful consequences of schooling, this is something that I can't ignore. Colleges can cause individuals a great deal of harm. It's bad enough that we are bribing Americans to embrace the harm. It's worse that people who are disgusted by the process are forced to pay for it.

On top of all of this, the government is pushing educational discrimination. Again, I feel like I need to clarify this concept for anyone who has not read my blog. Many people, businesses, and organizations openly and actively discriminate against well-educated individuals if they learn outside of the schools. They feel that what someone is capable of accomplishing is nowhere near as important as how they developed those skills. As a result, many brilliant minds are effectively being prohibited from contributing to society. Meanwhile, many uneducated individuals with extensive schooling are being rewarded.

Individuals should not be financially punished for pursuing the education that's right for them. Independent learners are having their educational budgets squeezed to reward those who are willing to abandon educational rights. This is absolutely unfair, and it needs to stop. Quite frankly, I still don't understand how we ever came to the conclusion that the government should be allowed to incentivize educational harm.
