The absurdity of schooling

A lot of people are quick to shower praise on our schools. If only they would take a step back and look again. Schooling is an absolutely absurd concept when you really think about it.

What are we doing? We are taking children away from their parents so they can be raised by the government. Even private schools are known to turn to government schools for inspiration.

Why do people support the schools? Because they take education for granted and never question the educational value of the schooling process. They insist that we need schooling because education is a need.

I agree that education is a need. I don't agree that forced schooling is the best approach to filling the need. Think about this for a moment. Do we really want to give the government tight controls over a need? I can assure you that I don't.

Again, schooling is an absolutely absurd concept when you take the time to think about it. The government is forcing parents to hand their children over to government workers who are using the opportunity to control and restrict a need. It's no wonder that I oppose the process.
