We Screwed Up

This post was adapted from something that I had previously written.
Children these days are sacrificing thought and individuality because we view thought and individuality as detriments to social order. At least we used to. We still demand these sacrifices, but it appears as though we now act as though self-sacrifice is simply a part of life.

When I was in school, I wanted to develop my personal strengths. Rather than educating, the schools were focused solely on social engineering. I wanted to be a mentally active individual who could form his own thoughts and opinions. The schools wanted me to become a standard mindless drone just like everyone else. The schools fought everything that I believed in.

If you look at the history of the schooling process, you will learn that the system was designed to create a society that was obedient to its government. In many ways, true education was their enemy. While reforms have taken place since then, the mentally harmful aspects at the heart of schooling are still clear to this day. We’re just too afraid to look at things with an open mind.

One of the biggest arguments in favor of schooling is that people are happier if they live mindless lives. Technically speaking, this is a valid argument. Take a look around sometime. Freethinking individuals are miserable. Mindless drones don’t know enough to realize that they’re not happy.

In the modern world, idiocy is advantageous. In many ways, however, these advantages are because of how reliant we are on the process. We openly discriminate against anyone who has thoughts that are not accepted by the mainstream. If people have issues with the schools, we have issues with those people.

Humanity as a whole is suffering as a result of our reliance on mental destruction. There are no more Thomas Edisons in this world. Why? It’s because these kinds of people defy the schools. Back then their struggles with the schools were not accompanied by nearly mandatory discrimination like we see today. Without the ability of progressive minds at our disposal, humanity has become stagnant. All progress being made today has been set into motion decades or even centuries ago.

Over the last century, we have done nothing but build off of this system. Whenever a student doesn’t receive a proper education in the anti-educational environment, we insist that the schools are not funded properly. Whenever we find any evidence of the core principals behind the original schooling process, we try to increase our reliance on those same destructive principals. We don’t want to think of our huge investment in the schools over the years has been a mistake, so we try all sort of quick fixes in hopes of preventing damage to our delicate egos.

The creation of the schools is clearly among the biggest mistakes that mankind has ever made. We have tried numerous changes on the surface, but we completely ignore the root of the problems. Anything that even resembles the schools that we have today would be inexcusable. Unfortunately, the belief that schooling is vital to survival has become a core concept in mainstream mentality. We believe too much in the system to throw away centuries worth of regress.

Right now we really need to come clean. We screwed up. The schools were a mistake. Rather than building off of this mistake, it’s time to correct it. Let’s get rid of the schools for the good of humanity.
